I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 34 years experience and have been practicing in Danville, CA since 1985. I provide therapy to individuals, couples, families, adolescents and their parents. I also practice collaborative divorce coaching and co-parenting mediation for couples going through separation and divorce. My aim is to assist clients to find healthy solutions to individual, marital, and family issues. I have both a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology (1980) from John F. Kennedy University in Pleasant Hill, CA and a Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology (1991) from Saybrook University in San Francisco, CA.
Among my interests and specialties I have helped many people suffering and recovering from addictive/compulsive behaviors. My doctoral dissertation was on creating and maintaining successful treatment alliances with people suffering from alcoholism and other substance and behavioral addictions.
I have post graduate training in child custody evaluation, mediation, and the fundamentals and principles of collaborative divorce.
My primary interest is in facilitating change. So whether I am working with individuals, couples, and/or families I want to understand as quickly as possible what brings you to counseling/therapy and help you create an action plan for change that will benefit you and those relationships that are important to you.
